Leave was granted the Kent county delegation to report
a bill to authorize the county Commissioners of Kent
county, to issue bonds to aid in the construction of the Kent
County Rail Road.
On motion of Valliant,
Leave was granted the committee on Registration to re-
port a bill restoring Theodore P. Harrison, to the privileges
of suffrage.
On motion of Mr. Markey,
Leave was granted the Frederick county delegation, to re-
port a. bill, entitled, an Act to repeal an Act, passed January
session, 1865, entitled an Act to amend Article 11, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled, "Frederick County,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Also, leave was granted the committee on Corporations to
report a bill, entitled, an Act to amend the Supplement to
the charter of the B. & 0. Rail road Company, passed at
Dec. session, 1836, chapter 261, and the supplements passed
Dec. session, 1840.
On motion of Mr. Clift,
Leave was granted the committee on Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill entitled, an Act, to make valid the official acts of
Thomas Straughn, justice of the peace for Caroline county.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered joint resolutions re-
monstrating against the construction of any railroad within
the State of Maryland, without the consent of the citizens
thereof; and, also, in reference to the Harbor of Baltimore;
Which were read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Allegany,
The rules were suspended, the resolutions read the second
time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
