Mr. Soper submitted the following order: Ordered, That the committee on Claims pay to the Speaker of this House the sum of one hundred and twenty dollars, in addition to the sum often dollars per day now allowed. Which was rejected. On motion of Mr. Lusby, Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation, to re- port a bill entitled, an Act authorizing the county commis- sioners of Baltimore county, to convey a certain lot of ground to the board of School Commissioners of Baltimore county. Also, leave was granted the Baltimore and Howard delega- tions, to report a hill entitled, an Act to incorporate the town of Ellicott's Mills by the name and title of Ellicott's city. On motion of Mr. Tull, Leave was granted the committee on Registration, to re- port a bill entitled, an Act to restore the rights of citizenship to certain persons in Somerset, Dorchester and Worcester counties. On motion of Mr. King, Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary, to report bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 6, article 43, Public General Laws, entitled, "Habeas Corpus," and to amend and re-enact the same. On motion of Mr. Mittag, Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to report a bill entitled, an Act to legalize the acts of the Bur- gess and Commissioners of the town of Hancock, in Wash-ington county. |
