Which was read and referred to the committee on Corpora-
tions.
. Mr. Valliant presented a petition from Charles Robinson
and 1019 other citizens of Talbot county, asking the repeal
or modification of the law of Registration;
Which was read and referred, to the committee on Registra-
tion.
Mr. Rider presented a petition from citizens of Somerset
and Worcester counties against the widening and straighten-
ing of the dividing street between Somerset and Worcester
counties;
Which was read and referred to the Somerset and Worces-
ter delegations.
Mr. Smith, of Allegany, presented a petition from Elijah M.
Friend, and fifty-nine others asking that Elijah M. Friend be
compensated for services rendered as commander of the 55th
military district of the State of Maryland;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Fawcett presented a petition from Nathan Childs for
relief therein mentioned;
Which was read and referred to the Montgomery county
delegation.
Mr. Fooks presented a petition from J. Hopkins Tarr, of
Worcester county praying the right of elective franchise;
Which was read' and referred to the committee on Registra-
tion.
Mr. Holloway presented a petition from fifty-seven citizens
of Worcester county for the modification of the Registry
Law;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Registra-
tion.
Mr. Rinchart presented a petition from citizens of Freder-
ick and Carroll counties praying the passage of a law to lay
out and open a road in said counties;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Roads
and Highways.
Also a petition from citizens in the vicinity of Unionville for
the prohibition of the sale of spirituous liquor as herein
prayed for;
