Mr. Mittag, from a select committee reported favorably, a
bill entitled, an Act to repeal the third section of the Act of
1865, chapter 67;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Watkins, from a select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to provide for the transcribing of a record
in the office of the Register of Wills in Montgomery county;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Bartell, from a select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to encourage and facilitate emigration
to the State of Maryland;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. McCauley, from a select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to repeal and re-enact Sections 66, 67,
68, 69, and 70 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Cecil county, relating to Elkton:
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Stone, from a select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments
thirty-first section of the 9th Article of the Code of Public
Local Laws;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Mittag, from a select, committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to amend an act, passed at January ses-
sion 1853, chapter 379, entitled an act, to amend an act, to
Incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company of Washington
county, passed at December session 1845, chapter 37, and
extend the charter of said company;
Which was read the first time, and referred to the Wash-
ington county delegation.
Mr. Poteet, from a Select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay
J. E. and G. Munroe for articles furnished the Senate and
House of Delegates;
Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably a bill entitled, an Act to pay John Quig-
ley, a private in Battery B, First Maryland Light Artillery,
the same amount of bounty which has been paid, under the
Act of 1864, chapter 15, to other members of said Bat-
tery;
Which was read the first time.
