On motion of Mr. Soper,
Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means, to
report a bill entitled, an Act relating to Foreign Insurance
Companies in the State of Maryland;
Also, leave was granted the same committee, to report a
Oil! entitled, an Act supplementary to an Act passed March
2-1, 1865, chapter, 183, entitled, an act making appropri-
ations for the support of the Government for the year ending
on the 1st day of January, 1867.
On motion of Mr. Jones,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations, to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Chesapeake and
Potomac Canal company.
Also, to report a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
"Duvall Patent Centrifugal Pump company," of Balti-
more;
On motion of Mr. Willis,
Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary, to re-
port. a bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 2 and 3 of an
Act passed at January Session, chapter, 49, entitled, an Act
to amend an Act entitled; an Act to aid and encourage en-
listments into the Maryland Regiments in service of the
United States passed 1864, chapter 15, and to provide for the
prompt payment, of the bounties therein specified; and to re-
peal section 4, of said acts and to re-enact the same so as to
make the bounties therein specified, payable to the widows
and heirs of deceased soldiers, and to re-enact and amend the
same.
On motion of Mr. McCauley,
Leave was granted the Cecil county delegation, to report
a bill entitled, an Act to make. valid the acts of Elihu B.
Hall, justice of the peace of the 5th Election; i .District of Cecil
county.
On motion of Mr. Slothower,
Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation, to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to amend the 56 article of the
Code of Public General Laws by adding thereto additional
(sections relating to persons or corporations selling or barter-
ing spiritous or fermented liquors or lager beer;
On motion of Mr. McCauley, '
Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary, to report
a bill entitled,' an Act relating to non-residents.
