Which, was read and referred to the committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Malone presented a memorial from twenty registered
voters of Potato Neck district, Somerset county; in favor of
the repeal of the Registration Law;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Regis-
tration,
On motion of Mr. Usilton,
Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that if Lewin
Usilton bad been present yesterday -when the vote was taken
on the Joint Resolutions relating to the right of suffrage in
the District of Columbia, he would have voted in the nega-
tive.
Mr. Willis moved to reconsider the vote by which the
order offered by him yesterday, "that the Speaker of this
House inform the members why Jefferson Davis has not been
tried and hung for treason," was lost.
Mr. Willis moved to refer said order to the Speaker of the
House of Delegates;'
Was decided in the affirmative.
On motion of Mr. Hoffman,
Ordered, That the House of Delegates meet daily, San-
days excepted, at eleven o'clock A. M., and half-past seven,
P. M., commencing January 26, 1866.
Mr. Tull submitted the following:
Ordered, That the Speaker appoint an additional Page,
whose exclusive duty shall be to file the journal and bills
on the desk.
Mr. King submitted the following amendment:
And the same be done by the time the House assembles in
the morning;
Which was rejected.
The question recurring upon the adoption of the order,
It was rejected.
The Speaker laid before the House the petition of Benja-
min J. Shermantine, praying to be enfranchised;
'Which was read and referred to the committee on Regis-
tration.
