Act to incorporate the Dime Savings Bank, in the city of
Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Eaton,
Ordered, That the Adjutant-General be requested to fur-
nish the Senate with the number of volunteers enlisted to the
credit of the State of Maryland, from April 1st, 1861, to May
26th, 1863;
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
Leave was granted Messrs. Vickers, McMaster and Eaton,
to report a bill, to repeal an Act relating to the registration.
of the voters of the State, passed at January session 1865,
and to re-enact a Registration Law for the voters of the
State.
On motion of Mr. Tome.
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Chesapeake
Bay, Potomac River and Tide water Canal Company.
On motion of Mr. Tome,
Leave was granted the committee on Finance to report a
bill to repeal and re-enact Sections 124 and 125, of Article
81 of the Code of Public General Laws] entitled "Revenues
and Taxes."
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
Leave was granted the committee on Internal Improve-
ments to report a bill, to be entitled, An act to secure the
completion of the Kent county Railroad, by the Kent county
Railroad company.
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Chesapeake Life Insurance
company.
Mr. Eaton, from the committee on Coloured Population
to which was referred the bill to repeal sections of Local Law
relating to negroes and slaves of Somerset county;
Reported it without amendment, and it was read the
second time.
Mr. Wells, from the committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill supplementary to the Act incorporating the
Annapolis Water Works.
