Grace, asking to be enfranchised, Which was read and referred to the committee on Elections. Mr. Eaton presented the petition of A. B. Cross, asking for some historical record for deceased soldiers; Which was read and referred to Messrs. Eaton, Philpot and Tome. Mr. Ohr presented the petition for the relief of Lewis Warner; Which was read and referred to the committee on Military Affairs. On motion of Mr. Wells, Leave was granted the committee on Judicial Proceedings, to report a bill entitled, an Act to authorize William H. Downs, of Anne Arundel county, to act in the double capa- city of Assistant Assessor of U. S. Internal Revenue and Jus- tice of the Peace. On motion of Mr. Frazier, Ordered, That the Session of the Senate hereafter shall commence at 11 o'clock, A. M.
