Mr. Harris, moved that the rules of the House be suspended
and the bill read the second time;
Which was decided in the negative.
Mr. Lusby, from a Select committee, reported favorably the
following bills:
A bill entitled, an Act to provide for the repair or rebuild-
ing of the county jail in Prince Georges.
A bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act entitled, an Act
to make certain improvements in the vicinity of the State'
Live Stock Scales in Baltimore county, passed at January
Session 1864, chapter 23, by- enlarging the powers and duties
of the commissioners therein named;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Lee, from a Select committee, reported favorably,
A bill entitled, an Act to add a section to article four of
the code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore city, to allow a
compensation to the mayor of Baltimore, as a member of the
Police commissioners;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Silver, from a Select committee, reported favorably,
A bill entitled, an Act to alter and change the name of
Richard Dodson, of Baltimore city, to that of Richard Sterna
Dodson;
"Which was read the first time;
Mr. Lee, from a Select committee, reported favorably,
A bill to add an additional section to article four of the
code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore city, entitled
"Police,"
Which was read the first time;
Mr. Robinson, from a Select committee, reported favor-
ably,
A bill to incorporate the Metropolitan Lodge, number
seventeen, of the independent order of Odd Fellows, of the
city of Annapolis,
Which was read the first time;
Mr. Jones, from the committee on Corporations, reported
favorably the following bills:
A hill to incorporate the Plum-Point wharf company;
A bill to incorporate the Chester Fruit-packing company,
Which were read the first time.
