Mr. Soper, from the committee of Ways and Means, re-
ported favorably, a bill entitled, an Act further to regulate
the relation of creditor and debtor between the State of Mary-
land, and the Susquehanna Tide Water Canal Company;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Soper, moved that the rule be suspended, and the bill
read the second time;
Which was decided in the negative.
Mr. Harris, from a Joint Select committee, reported favor-
ably a bill of the Joint committee of the House and Senate,
for repairing and furnishing the Governor's Mansion;
Which was read the first time.
Also, a bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Governor of the
State, and the Comptroller and Treasurer to convey to the
United States of America, the Goverment House and Grounds
belonging to the State in the city Annapolis, and to procure
Other site and buildings in lieu thereof;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Rider, from a Select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to change the boundary line between
Somerset and Dorchester counties, so as to include the Islands
lying west of Somerset county, within the limits of Somerset
county;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Smith, of Frederick, from a Select committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to authorize Henry Droen-
burg, John H. Unseld, William P. Allnutt, William D.
Allnutt, John Talbott, John T. Allnutt, F. C. Beall, to
put up gates on the county roads, leading from Licksville
Frederick county, to Nolan's Ferry, between the lands occu-
pied by P. H. Butcher and James H. Beall, also on the road
leading from Licksville Frederick county to the mouth of
Monocacy River between the lands occupied by P. N. Leaply,
also on road known as the New Designed road leading to
Nolan's Ferry between the lands occupied by P. H. Butcher
and Dr. J. H. Unseld;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Harris, from a Select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act ceding to the United States of America
the Jurisdiction over and addition to the site of the Naval
School at Annapolis;
Which was read the first time.
