J OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES. 151 On motion of Mr. Buhrman, Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means to report a bill entitled, an Act to raise additional revenue for the State of Maryland, and to create funds for certain pur- poses. On motion of Mr. Sherry, Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to re- port a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Cumberland Manufacturing Company. On motion of Mr. Lee, Leave was granted the committee on Inspections to report a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 2 of an Act. passed at January session, 1864, chapter 189, relating to the inspec- tion, weighing and measuring of grain in Baltimore city, and to re-enact the same with amendments. On motion of Mr. Angel, Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to re- port a bill to amend the charter of the Western Maryland Railroad company. On motion of Mr. Smith, of Frederick, Leave was granted the Frederick county delegation to re- port a bill authorizing Henry Droenburg, John H. Unseld, Wm. P. Allnutt and others to put up gates on the public roads leading from Licksville, Frederick county, to Nolan's Ferry; and on public road leading from Licksville, Freder- erick county, to the mouth of the Monocacy river; also, on public road known as the " New Design road" leading to Nolan's Ferry. On motion of Mr. Keefer, Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to re- port a bill to enable the Coal and Iron companies of Allega- ny county, to furnish aid towards the construction of the Western Maryland Railroad, from Hagerstown to Cumber- land. On motion of Mr. Fawcett, Leave was granted the Montgomery county delegation to report a bill entitled, an Act to prohibit the sale of spiritous or fermented liquors within three and a half miles of the church and school house known as "Burton's school house," in the Fifth Election District of Montgomery county. |
