The said bill was then sent to the Senate.
Mr. Poteet, from the committee on Claims, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay Captain Jesse W. Lee for expenses incurred in regis-
tering the soldiers' votes.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Jones, from the committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Dorches-
ter and Delaware Railroad Company, and to direct the pay-
ment to the said company of the sum of money pledged by
the Act passed at January session, 1860, chapter 303, rela-
ting to works of internal improvement in Dorchester county.
Which was read the first time.
Also, unfavorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section
14, of article 39, and re-enact the same;
Which was read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Barron,
Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means to
report a bill entitled, an Act to change section 28, of article
56, relating to "granting licenses to foreign corporations and
companies," so as to increase the amount of license for the
same.
