Mr. Tolson from a Select committee, reported favorably, the
Senate bill entitled, an Act, to empower the County commis-
sioners of Queen Anne's county to levy the sum of two hun-
dred and fifty dollars on the taxable property of the county,
to pay L. E. Strong for 100 copies of a map of said county,
which he is about to publish on the scale of one inch to a mile,
and which, said copies are intended to be distributed among
Public schools of the county;
Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably the Senate bill, entitled, an Act to repeal
Section seventy-five article seventeen of the Public Local
Laws, entitled "Quean Anne's county," and section one,
Article seventeen of the supplements, and re-enact the same
with amendments;
Which was read the second time.
Mr. Miller, of Washington county, from a Select committee,
to which was referred a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate
the Washington County Manufacturing and Improvement
Company;
Reported said bill back to the House, without amendment;
Which was read the second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.
Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, from a Select committee reported
favorably, a bill entitled, an Act, for the relief of Samuel
Harrington and others of Dorchester county;
Which was read the first time.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered Joint Resolutions rela-
ting to the appointment of Justices of the Peace by Ex-
Governor Bradford.
Which were read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Tull,
The rules were suspended, the Resolutions read the second
time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
