Also, favorably, a bill entitled, an act to Incorporate, the
Union Railroad Company of Baltimore, and to authorize the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, the Northern Central
and the Western Maryland Railroad Companies, and the
Canton Company, to subscribe for the capital stock thereof,
and to endorse the Mortgage Bonds of the said Company;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Hopkins, from a select committee, reported favorably,
a bill entitled, an act to authorize the Commissioners of the
town of Havre de Grace, to sell certain lots in said town,
Which was read the first time.
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, being the resolutions submitted by Mr. Miller of Anne
Arundel county;
On motion of Mr. Rider,
The Resolutions were laid over informally.
Mr. Robinson, for a Select committee, reported favorably,
a bill entitled, an act to make valid and effectual, the act of
Charles R. Stewart, as commissioner in the division, of the
real estate of Nicholas Forrester, made in the year eighteen
hundred and twenty-three.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Dean from a select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an act to repeal section 57, of article 1st, of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany county, relating to
Deer, and to re-enact the same with amendments;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Robinson from a select committee, reported favorably,
a bill entitled, an act to alter and establish the divisional line
of the second and fourth election districts of Anne Arundel
county,
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Miller, of Washington county, from a select committee,
reported favorably, a bill entitled, an Act, to repeal section
one and two, chapter seventy-one, passed eighteen hundred
and sixty-four, entitled, an Act; to add to the forty-first
article of the Code of Public General Laws, in relation to
fish and fisheries, relating to the waters of the Potomac river
lying between the mouth of Newcreek and Weaverton dam.
