ROGER BELLIS, L. M. HAVERSTICK. Mr. Foster presented a memorial from the Maryland Ine- briate Asylum; Which was read and referred to the committee on Ways and Means. Mr. Miller, of Washington county, submitted the follow- ing order: Ordered, That (5,000) five thousand additional copies of the Comptroller's Report be printed for the use of the mem- bers of this House; Mr. Cronise submitted the following amendment: Insert "three thousand," instead of "five thousand." Mr. Tull moved to refer the order to the committee on Ways and Means. Decided in the negative. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, It was decided in the affirmative. The question recurring upon the adoption of the order as amended, It was decided in the affirmative. On motion of Mr. Harris, Ordered, That it he entered on the Journal that C. D. Irelan, Reading Clerk to this House, is absent on account of sickness. On motion of Mr. Hynes, Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to report a bill to incorporate the Petroleum Cooking Stove and Self- Generating Gas Lamp Company of Baltimore city; On motion of Mr. Barron, Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to report a hill to amend the Fourth Article of the Code of Public Local Laws, by adding a Section thereto relating to the compensa- tion of messenger to the Circuit Court of Baltimore city.
