Mr. Shaw presented a petition from John W. Baker, and others, to the General Assembly, for compensation to B. W. Williams, Esq,, for legal services rendered the State; Which "was read and referred to the committee on Claims. Mr. Rinehart presented a petition from citizens of Union- ville, Frederick county, to prevent the sale of liquors or in- toxicating drinks within throe miles of said village; Which was read and referred to the Frederick county dele- gation. Mr. Buhrman presented the following memorial: Memorial of a committee on the part of the Soldiers' Le- gions of the State of Maryland, giving an estimate of the num- ber likely to be benefited by the Act now asked for equal- izing bounties; Which was referred to the committee on Ways and Means and ordered to be entered on the Journal. |
