Leaverton, Malone, Markey, McCauley, McCullough, Mittag,
Mules, Norris, Parker, Pennington, Rider, Rinehart, Shaw,
Sherry, Silver, Slothower, Smith, of Allegany, Smith of
Dorchester, Smith, of Frederick, Soper, Stewart, Stone, Tol-
son, Tull, Usilton, Warner, Watkins, Willis/Wilson, Wood-
en, Ziegler—62.
The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.
Mr. Buhrman presented a petition from Daniel Castle, of
T., late Collector of Frederick county, praying the passage
of an. Act giving him additional time to complete his collec-
tions;
Which was read mid referred to the Frederick county del-
egation.
Mr, Everhart presented a petition from the Commissioners
of Carroll county, asking the passage of a law regulating the
compensation of the county Commissioners throughout the
State;
Which was read and referred to the committee on the Ju -
dietary.
Mr. Mules presented a petition to change the name of
George Frazier, a minor, to that of George Henry Patti-
son;
Which was read and referred to the committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Hopkins presented a petition from Joseph Nixon,
John B. Cole, and ninety other citizens, of the town of Havre
de Grace, for sale of lots in said town;
Which was read and referred to the Harford county dele-
gation.
Mr. Warner presented a petition from Thomas H. Brown,
and fifty citizens of the Fifth Election District of Howard
county, in favor of the passage of a law prohibiting the sale
of intoxicating liquors in said district;
Which was read and referred to the Howard county dele-
gation.
Mr. Miller, of Washington county, presented a petition
from Charles Embrey, and 125 other citizens of Williams-
port, Washington county, praying that Nathaniel Zimmer,
a citizen of said town, may be restored to citizenship;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Regis-
tration.
Mr. Soper presented a petition from William Woodward,
John Coates, and others, citizens of Baltimore, remonstra-
