The said bill was then sent to the Senate. The bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88 of article nineteen of the Code of Public Local Saws relating to Somerset county and entitled "Negroes and Slaves." Was taken up for consideration on its second reading. Mr. Malone submitted the following amendment. Section one line two, strike out 87 and 88; Determined in the negative. The bill was then "read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill entitled, an Act to amend the 31st section of article 27 of the Public General Laws, entitled " Corporations; " Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill entitled, an Act to prevent the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors on or near the line of the Washington county Railroad; "Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 125, 126, 127, 128 and 129, of article twenty of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to roads in Talbot county, and to enact other sections in lieu thereof; |
