Pitcock; Was read the first time, and Referred to the committee on Judicial proceedings. A hill for the benefit of the trustees of the M. E. Chuich in the city of Baltimore; Was read the first time, and Referred to the committee on Invalid Deeds. A bill to incorporate the Baltimore and Savannah Steam- ship company of Baltimore; Was read the first time, and Referred to the committee on Corporations. A bill to change the General Laws relating to fish and fisheries; Was read the first time, and Referred to the committee on Judicial Proceedings. Mr. Billingsley, of Saint Mary's, from the Select committee reported a hill incorporating the Washington and Point Look- out Railroad company ; Which was read the first time. The hour having arrived for considering the order of the day, the President, announced the bill to provide for the gen- eral re-valuation and assessment of property in this State. Mr. Eaton submitted the following amendment, In section 3, strike out all after the word "the" in line one, to the word "appoint" in line third, and insert in lieu thereof the words "Governor of the State shall." Pending its consideration, The Senate adjourned. |
