Frederick and Washington counties to institute proceedings
against the President, Managers and Company of the Balti-
more and Frederick Turnpike road;
Which 'firsts read and referred to the committee on the Ju-
diciary.
Mr. Valliant submitted the following order:
Ordered,.That the State Librarian be directed to purchase
three hundred volumes of the third volume of the Supplement
to the Code of Public Laws, of which number, one volume is to
be given to each member of the House of Delegates and Senate,
and one to the Secretary and each of the Clerks of both Houses,
the residue to be retained in the Library;
Mr. Rinehart submitted the following amendment:
That the Librarian purchase three hundred copies of the third
volume of the Code for the use of the General Assembly dur-
ing the session to be returned to the Library at the end of
the session;
Which was decided in the negative;
The question recuring upon the adoption of the order sub-
mitted by Mr. Valliant.
Mr. Rinehart demanded the yeas and nays.
The demand being sustained;
