62 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 23,
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
Leave was granted Messrs. Vickers, Mackall and Earle,
to report a bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 42 and 56
of article 14 of the Public Local Law, relating to the incor-
poration of Chestertown, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.
Mr. Frazier from the committee on Corporations, reported
a bill supplementary to the Fire Insurance company of Balti-
more;
Also, a supplement to the Ben Franklin Fire Insurance
company, of Baltimore;
Which were read the first time.
Also, without amendment, the bill incorporating the Wash-
ington county Manufacturing company;
Also, the bill to authorize the improvement of the village
of Greensborough in Caroline county,
Also, the bill incorporating the Ancient Free and Accept-
ed Masons of Annapolis;
Which were severally read the first time.
Mr. Stephenson from the committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, reported a bill to repeal sections 3 and 4, of chapter 31,
relating to the publication of Laws;
Which was read the first time.
Also, reported a bill to repeal section 4, of article 60 of
General Law relating to marriages and to re-enact the same;
Which was read the first time.
Mr, Vickers from the committee on Internal Improvements,
to which was referred the bill incorporating the Pikesville
Railroad company, reported it with amendments;
Which were read and adopted, and the bill was read the
second time.
Mr. Stephenson from the committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings, reported a bill making January Term of Circuit court
of Allegany county, a Criminal Term;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Tome from the committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill in favor of L. Valentine, reported it without
amendment; and,
It was read the second time.
