22 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 12, On motion of Mr. Jones, Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to report a bill to incorporate the Globe Express company. On motion of Mr. Nairne, Leave was granted the Worcester county delegation to re- port a bill to incorporate the town of Snow Hill, in Worcester county. On motion- of Mr. Leaverton, Leave was granted the Talbot county delegation to report a bill to change the name of Rufus Henry Greenhawk to that of Rufus Henry Love. On motion of Mr. Smith, of Frederick, Leave was granted the committee on Internal Improve- ments to report a bill directing the County Commissioners of Frederick county to levy a sum of money on the taxable pro- perty of said county for the purpose of building the two bridges over the Monocacy river, destroyed at the time of the battle of the 9th of July, 1864. On motion of Mr. Rinehart, Leave was granted the committee on Education to report a bill to authorize the School Commissioners of Frederick county to pay to Jonas Urner and Nicholas Norris, two of the Trustees of Primary School District No. 53, in said county, a sum of money advanced by them for the support of the school in said district in .the years 1863 and 1864, during the time of their trusteeship. On motion of Mr. Poteet, Leave was granted the committee on Internal Improve- ments to report a bill to repeal section 38, of article 28, of the Public General Laws of the State, and re-enact the same with amendments. On motion of Mr. Poteet, Leave was granted the committee on Ways and Means to report a bill to repeal section 412, of article 4, of the Public Local Laws for Baltimore city, entitled, "Hay and Straw," and re-enact the same with amendments. On motion of Mr. Hoffman, Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to report a bill to pay the constables of the State for reporting State business to the Circuit Courts at each term. |
