tee on Resources of Maryland; so much as refers to the Harbor
of Baltimore and Ocean Steamers, and the Naval Academy,
to the committee of Ways and Means; so much as refers to
the re-organization of the militia and maimed and disabled
soldiers to the committee on Militia; so much as refers to a
commission to revise the laws relating to slavery, to the
committee on Colored Population; so much as refers to regis-
tration of voters, to the select committee on that subject; so
much as refers to reconstruction, negro suffrage and the
Monroe Doctrine to the committee on Federal Relations; and
so much as refers to indemnity to Governor Bradford, to the
committee on Claims.
On motion of Mr. Harris,
Ordered, That the different Reports and Documents order-
ed by this House, to be printed for the use of the members,
be equally distributed.
On motion of Mr. Harris,
Ordered, That the Hall Keeper of this House have the
locks and keys replaced and repaired on the desks of the
members.
On motion of Mr. Hynes,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations, to re-
port a bill to incorporate the United States Fire and Marine In-
surance company of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Mules,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations, to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Union Railroad company of
Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Mules,
Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation, to re-
port a bill empowering the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to issue bonds for the purpose of erecting a City Hall in
the city of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Cook,
Leave was granted the committee of Ways and Means, to
report a bill for securing to soldiers who enlisted in 1861 and
1862, and who served the Government during the late war,
such additional bounties so as to make them as nearly as can
be equal to those paid to the soldiers who enlisted in 1864,
according to the time of service.
