On motion of Mr. Buhrman,
Ordered, That when this House adjourns it be to meet on
o-morrow at 11 1/2 o'clock, A. M.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Allegany,
The House adjourned.
THURSDAY, January 11th, 1866.
The House met at 11 1/2 A. M., and was opened with prayer by
the Rev. Mr. McNemar.
Present at the call of the roll the following members:
Messrs. Frazier, Speaker, Agnew, Angel, Bartell, Barron,
Brown, Buhrman, Calvert, Cairns, Chew, Clift, Comegys,
Cook, Cronise, Cummings, Darling, Eavey, Everhart, Fooks,
Fawcett, Foster, Garrison, Hambleton, Harris, Hazen, Hod-
son, Hoffman, Hopkins, Hynes, Jamison, Jones, Keefer,
King, Kirk, Leaverton, Lee, of Baltimore city, Lusby, Mar-
key, McCauley, McCullough, Miller, of Anne Arundel, Miller,
of Washington, Mittag, Mules, Nairne, Norris, Parker, Pen-
nington, Pilkington, Poteet, Rinehart, Shaw, Sherry, Silver,
Slothower, Smith, of Allegany, Smith, of Dorchester, Smith,
of Frederick, Soper, Tolson, Tull, Usilton, Valliant, Ward-
well, Watkins, Wilson, Wooden, Ziegler.
The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.
Mr. J. N. Foster, of Baltimore city, member elect, appeared
in the House, and qualified according to the Constitution.
Mr. Mules presented a petition from Gaehle's Piano Manu-
facturing Co., of the City of Baltimore, to amend its Act of
Incorporation by extending the time for the payment of
the capital stock;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Corpo-
rations.
Mr. Wooden presented a petition from Joseph Ebaugh,
late Sheriff of Carroll county, asking compensation for ser-
vices rendered the State under a requisition of Governor
Bradford;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Claims.
