52 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 22, MONDAY, January 22, 1866. Mr. Vickers presented the following communication; PHILADELPHIA AND READING R. R. Co., Philadelphia, January 20, 1866. Hon. GEORGE VICKERS, Senator from Kent, Annapolis, Md. Dear Sir:—Your valued favor of the 17th inst., enclosing the resolutions of the Senate of Maryland, relative to the death of our lamented Father, has been duly received. In ac- knowledging their receipt, we beg to tender to you and through you, to the Senate, our sincere and heartfelt thanks. Very respectfully, your ,obedient servant, J. W. JONES, For himself and all the members of the family of Daniel Jones, deceased. Which was read. Mr. Ohr presented the petition of citizens of Allegany county, asking aid to the Western Maryland Railroad; Which was read and referred to the committee on Internal Improvements. Mr. Turner presented the petition of the Seamens Boarding House keeper's of Baltimore city; Which was read the first time, and referred to the com- mittee on Judicial Proceedings. Mr. McMaster presented the petition of the citizens of Wor- cester county, praying protection to the Pooomoke Marine Railroad company; Which was read and referred to Messrs. McMaster, Earle and Holt on. On motion of Mr. McMaster, Leave was granted the committee on Judicial Proceedings. to report a bill to incorporate and protect the Pocomoke Ma- rine Railroad company. On motion of Mr. Ohr, Leave was granted the committee on Judicial Proceedings to report a bill to repeal section 3 and 4 of chapter 31, being an act passed January' Session, 1865, in relation to the pub- lication of Laws, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
