Mr. Philpot, from the committee on the Militia, reported a bill providing for the re-organization of the militia; Which was read the fist time, and Ordered to be printed, Mr. Billingsley, of St. Mary's county, made the minority report; Which was ordered to be printed. [See Document C.] Mr. Trail from the committee on Judicial Proceedings re- ported a bill authorizing the Trustees Alms-House of Kent county to sell certain lands; Which was read the first time. Also, from the same committee, reported a bill in favor of H. H. Owings; Which was read the first time. On motion of Mr. Turner, Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns, it stands adjourn- ed until Monday. Mr. Frazier from the committee on Corporations reported a bill incorporating the village of the Head of Sassafras in Kent county; Which was read the first time. Mr. Trail from the committee on Judicial Proceedings to which was re-committed the bill to regulate and make uni- form the compensation of county Commissioners, reported it without amendment; Mr. Ohr submitted the following amendment: Insert "provided such mileage shall be allowed and charged but once for any session of said county Commisioners; " Mr. Lansdale submitted the following amendment to the amendment; " Provided mileage shall not be charged more than twelve times annually, or oftener than they may meet;" Which was read and rejected.
