Mr. Earle presented the memorial of A. T. Emory, asking
to be enfranchised;
Which was read and referred to the committee on Federal
Relations.
Mr. Trail presented the petition of citizens of Frederick
county in favor of the Chesapeake and Lake Erie Railroad;
Referred to the committee on Internal Improvements.
Mr. Tome presented the petition of citizens of Cecil county;
Referred to Messrs. Tome, Ohr and Jenkins.
Mr. Vickers presented the petition of the members of the
Methodist church of Kent county.
Referred to Messrs. Vickers, Earle and McMaster.
Mr. Waters presented the petition of R. Polk.;
Referred to the committee on Finance.
Mr. Trail presented the petition of Thos. E. Hambleton,
amending the charter of the Insurance company of Balti-
more city.
Referred to the committee on Corporations.
On motion of Mr. Ohr,
Leave was granted Messrs. Ohr, Turner and Mackall to
report a bill to add an additional section to Article 44 of the
Code of Public General Laws, entitled, "Hospital," Mary-
land.
Also, the committee on Judicial Proceedings to report a
bill to add additional sections to Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, entitled, "Allegany county," relating to
the Circuit court.
On motion of Mr. Eaton,
Leave was granted Messrs. Eaton, Turner and Whitney
to report a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Merchants
Steamship line.
On motion of Mr. Whitney,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Baltimore and Pongoteague
Steamboat company.
On motion of Mr. Holton,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill incorporating the Baltimore and Southern Steam
Transportation company.
