1866.] OF THE SENATE. 45 On motion of Mr. Stephenson, Leave was granted Messrs. Holton, Tome and Lansdale, to report a bill to amend the Charter of Conowingo Bridge company. On motion of Mr. Ohr, Leave was granted Messrs. Ohr, McMaster and Mackall, to report a bill supplementary to chapter 269, January Session, 1864, relating to Small Pox. On motion of Mr. Ohr, Ordered, That the President and Directors of the Maryland Insane Asylum be and they are hereby requested to report to to this Senate the present condition of said Asylum; its pros- pects and what progress they have made under the act of Jan- uary Session of 1864, and the earliest day at which they con- template to receive patients into said building; also the earliest day at which Insane patients might be received. The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the resolutions relating to the Justices of the Peace, appointed by Governor Bradford; Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays." Also delivered the following bills; A bill incorporating the Mount Washington Mining com- pany. A bill incorporating the Baltimore File company; Which were read the first time and referred to the com- mittee on Corporations. A bill relating to parties indebted to the State; Was read the first time and referred to the committee on Judicial Proceedings. A bill relating to the School Commisioners of Frederick county. A bill authorizing the Commissioner of the Land Office to to issue a patent; Was read the first time and referred to the committee on Finance. A bill to amend the General Laws relating to minors and guardians; Was read the first time and referred to the committee on Judicial Proceedings. A bill incorporating the Mount Washington Female College; |
