Mr. Eaton from the Select committee, reported a bill amend- ing the charter of the Baltimore and Cuba Smelting com- pany; Which was read the first time, Mr. Davis, of Washington county, presented the petition of citizens of Washington county, relating to the Western Mary- land Railroad; Which was read, and referred to the committee on Internal Improvements. Mr. Trail from the Select committee, reported a bill in favor of Ex. Gov. Bradford; Which was read the first time, and ordered to be printed. Mr. Trail from the Select committee, reported a bill for the protection of fish in Monocacy River; Which was read the first time. Mr. McMaster from the Select committee, reported a Road bill for Worcester county; Which was read the first time. The bill amending the Mutual Insurance company of Bal- timore; Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill to make uniform the pay of county Commissioners; Was read the second time. Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment, In line 5, of section 2, strike out the word "four," and insert in lien thereof the word "three," 5 |
