flict with the laws of the United States or of the

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of the several counties to levy the county taxes
on the basis of the assessment of eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-six, and the State tax upon the
basis of the assessment of eighteen hundred and
fifty-two. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners
of the several counties of this State, in which the
assessment shall have been completed at the time
of making the levy for local purposes, and having
due regard to additions or substractions that may
be required to be made by any law which may be
passed at the present session of the General As-
sembly, be and they are hereby authorized to levy
the county taxes of their respective counties upon
the basis of the assessment of eighteen hundred
and sixty-six, and the State tax upon the basis of
the asament of eighteen hundred and fifty-two. |
