272 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 8, On motion of Mr. Earle, Resolved, That the thanks of the Senate are due and are hereby tendered to the Honorable, the Lieutenant Governor, for the very able, impartial and courteous manner in which he has discharged the arduous duties of the Presidency of the Senate, and that he is hereby assured that the session closes with the earnest and heartfelt wish of every Senator for his future prosperity and happiness. On motion of Mr. Davis, of Washington, Ordered, That the case of the contested election of Samuel A. Graham vs. Levin L. Waters be referred to the next ses- sion of the Senate. The bill entitled, an Act regulating the working of the public roads in the State of Maryland; Was read the third time. Mr. McMaster submitted an amendment; Which was read and rejected; And the bill was then rejected by yeas and nays as follow:
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The bill entitled, an Act incorporating the Baltimore Warehouse and Security company; Was read the third time and rejected by yeas and nays as follow:
