1866.] OF THE SENATE. 257 Which was read the second time. On motion of Mr. Tome, Ordered, That the roll of the Counties and the City of Baltimore be called in alphabetical order, and each Senator be allowed to call up one bill. Mr. Wells, from the committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported without amendment, the bill changing the Code re- lating to Sabbath breaking; And it was read the second time. The bill amending the Act relating to Small Pox; Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. i On motion of Mr. Wells, Ordered, That the committee on Claims pay to the Rev. I. M. Patterson, Chaplain to the Senate, one hundred dollars. The bill to make valid a deed from the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal company, to Chauncy Brooks; Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
