252 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 8, Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The bill entitled, an Act in favor of John Heimelhaven and others; Was read the third time. Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment: AMENDMENT PROPOSED: Add at the end of section 1, "Provided sufficient evidence is shown to the Comptroller and Treasurer that the claim of Oliver Wood and P. W. Crane is correct;" Which was read and rejected. The bill was then passed by yeas and nays as follow:
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the bill en- titled, an Act authorizing the Governor, Comptroller and Treasurer to sell the bank stock held by the State; Endorsed, passed by yeas and nays with amendments; Which were read and adopted; and The bill passed by yeas and nays as follow:
