Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. On motion of Mr. Billingsley, of St. Marys, Ordered, That the counties be called in Alphabetical order, and that each Senator have the privilege of calling up one bill. The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered joint reso- lutions,, endorsing the reconstruction policy of President Johnson; "Which were read the first time; Mr. Frazier moved to give them a second- reading by Special order; Determined in the negative; And they were referred to the committee on Federal Rela- tions. Mr-. Clarke, from the committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported a bill without amendment, amending the General Law relating to appeals from County Commissioners; Which was read the second time. Mr. Trail, from the committee on Education, reported without amendment the bill to amend the Act establishing the Agricultural College; Which was read the second time. Mr. Wells, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported without amendment, the bill to repeal sections 194, 196 and 197 of article 4 of. Local Law, and to re-enact the same with amendments; Which was read the second time. Mr. Tome, from the committee on Finance, reported with- out amendment, .the bill to aid in the re-organization of St. John's College; The bill to repair the jail in Cecil County; |
