1866.] OF THE SENATE. 235 WEDNESDAY, February 7—7 1/2 P. M. Mr. Wells, from the committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported without amendment the bill authorizing Eliza Martin to settle her accounts as guardian of John Gibson, and to deliver over the estate to her said ward; Which, was read the second time. Mr. Eaton, from the committee on Colored Population, re- ported without amendment the bill, entitled an Act to repeal the 2nd sub-section of the Act of 1864, and to re-enact the same with amendments; Which was read the second time. Mr. Eaton submitted the following order: Ordered, That the committee on Internal Improvements, report at once, the bill in their possession entitled, an Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Allegany county to to subscribe for, or endorse the bonds of the Western Mary- land Railroad Company. The question upon its adoption was determined in the negative by yeas and nays, as follow:
The President voted in the negative. The bill entitled an, Act incorporating the Maryland Land and Emigration Company; Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as follow:
