Mr. Frazier, from the committee on Corporations, to which was referred the bill incorporating the Cherrystone Steam Navigation company; Reported it without amendment; And it was read the second time, and by special order the third time, and rejected by yeas and nays as follow:
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow- ing bills: ' A bill to aid in the re-organization of St. John's College; "Which was read the first time and referred to the commit- tee on Finance. A bill to authorize Eliza Martin to settle her account as guardian of John Gibson, and to deliver over the estate to her said ward, Which was read the first time and referred to the commit- tee on Judicial Proceedings. A bill to provide for repairing the old jail of Cecil county, or the building of a new jail at the discretion of the County Commissioners of said county; "Which was read the first time and referred to the Senator from Cecil. A bill to appropriate a sum of money to pay William Camden and David Fowler extra compensation for services rendered the State; "Which was read the first time and referred to the commit- tee on Finance. |
