Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Finance.
A bill ceding to the United States of America, the juris-
diction over and. addition to the site of the Naval School at
Annapolis;
Which \': as read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.
A hill entitled, a supplement to the Act entitled, an Act
to incorporate the New York and Baltimore Transportation
Line, passed at December session, 1847, chapter 112;
Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Corporations.
A 1) 111 to amend the Act of 1853, chapter 318, entitled, an
Act incorporating the Bohemia Bridge company of' Cecil
county, Maryland;
Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Corporations.
A hill to repeal and re-en act with amendments 31st section
of the 9th article of the Code of Public Local Laws;
Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.
On motion of Mr. Turner,
Ordered, That the Librarian furnish the Code of Laws
and their .supplements with Journals of last session, to such.
members of' the Senate as have not received the same, pro-
vided they are in the Library,
Mr. Eaton, from the committee en Colored Population, to
which was referred the hill to repeal from section .'31 to sec-
tion 40 inclusive, of article 6 of Public General Laws re-
lating to apprentices, occuring between the 9th and 10 sec-
tions of said article;
Reported it without amendments;
And it was read the second time; and
The Senate adjourned.
