AN ACT to pay to Isaac C. W. Powell and James
Ll. Martin, former State's Attorneys for Talbot
county, commissions on a certain sum of money
collected by them and paid into the Treasury of
this State. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury be, and he is hereby directed to issue his war-
rant on the Treasurer in favor of Isaac C. W.
Powell and James Ll. Martin for one hundred and
fifty-four dollars, being five per cent. commission
upon the sum of three thousand and eighty dol-
lars, collected by them and paid into the Treasury
on ajudgment in the name of the State of Mary-
land against John D. Nabb and others in the
Circuit Court for Talbot county. |

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall take effect from the date of its passage. |

AN ACT to authorize the Pennsylvania Mutual
Horse Thief Detecting and Insurance Company
of York, Pennsylvania, to transact business in
the State of Maryland. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of the State of Maryland, That the Directors and
Managers of the Pennsylvania Mutual Horse Thief
Detecting and Insurance Company of York, Penn-
sylvania, are hereby authorized and empowered to
appoint, organize and establish detective and can-
vassing agencies to solicit and receive applications
for membership and insurance, to make and issue
policies or certificates of membership and insurance, |
