AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the
purpose of paying the claim of Thomas. E.
Dell. |
Treasurer to
pay upon war-
rant. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer be, and he is
hereby directed, upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller, to pay to Thomas E. Dell the sum of eleven
hundred and seventy-three dollars for books, con-
sisting of the Constitution, Laws and Code, furn-
ished the State by order of the House of Delegates
at the January session, eighteen hundred and
sixty-seven. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage. |

CHAPTER 103. |

AN ACT for the extension of the powers of the
Bailiff of the town of Easton in Talbot county. |
Baliff to act
as conservator
of the peace. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Bailiff of the town of Easton
in Talbot county, be authorized and empowered to
act as a conservator of the peace in any part of
said county; to execute all criminal process in any
part of said county, which may be directed to him
by any Justice of the Peace, or other officer of
said county authorized to issue such process; and
for such service aforesaid, shall receive such fees
as the sheriff of the county now receives in such
cases, payable by the County Commissioner. |

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act
shall take effect from the day of its passage. |
