20 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 16,
TUESDAY, January 16th, 1866.
Mr. Philpot the Senator for Baltimore county, and Mr.
Billingsley, the Senator for St. Marys county, appeared, and
took their seats.
Mr. Vickers presented a petition from citizens of Kent
county, to incorporate the village of the Head of Sassafras;
Referred to the committee on Corporations.
On motion of Mr. Ohr,
Leave was granted Messrs. Ohr, Frazier and Whitney, to
report a bill to amend the Act incorporating the Grand
Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Eaton,
Leave was granted Messrs. Eaton, Turner and Lansdale,
to report a bill to amend the charter of the Marylan Mutual
Insurance company of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
Leave was granted the committee on Judicial Proceedings
to report a hill to repeal the 19th section of the 24th article
of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the. record-
ing of deeds or conveyances of lands, and to re-enact the
same with amendments;
Also, leave to report a bill to provide for the appoint-
ment of Road Supervisors in the several counties of this State
according to the directions of the 6th section of the seventh
article of the Constitution.
On motion of Mr. Vickers,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations, to re-
port a bill to incorporate the village of the Head of Sassafras
in Kent county.
On motion of Mr. Whitney,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations, to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Maryland Fuel company of Bal-
timore city;
Also, leave to report a bill to incorporate the Maryland
Military. Academy;
Also, leave to report a bill to incorporate the Baltimore
county Dairy Association.
On motion of Mr, Vickers,
Ordered, That a committee of three be appointed, to inquire
whether any of the judges of this State have by the improper
