issuing of writs of Habeas Corpus or otherwise contravened
the decision of the Court of Appeals, confirming the consti-
tutionality of the 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38,39 and 40th,
sections of the 6th article of the Code of Public General Laws
entitled, "Negro Apprentices."
The chair appointed Messrs. Vickers, Ohr and Davis of
Washington.
On motion of Mr. Wells,
Leave was granted the committe on Judicial Proceedings,
to report a bill to he entitled, an Act supplemental to an Act
to incorporate the Annapolis Water company, passed at Jan-
uary session 1865, chapter 123.
On motion of Mi. McNeal,
Leave was granted Messrs. McNeal, Davis of Caroline,
and McMaster, to report a hill to prohibit swine from running
at large in Talbot county.
Mr. Mackall, from the committee on Corporations, to
which was referred the bill incorporating Eureka Lodge, in
Washington county;
Reported it without amendment, and,
It was read the second time.
Mr. Turner from the committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill incorporating the Pocahontas Manufac-
turing company;
Reported it without amendment, and,
It was read the second time.
Mr. Mackall from the committee on Corporations to which
was referred the bill incorporating the Workingmen's Co-
operative Store of Cumberland, Allegany county ;
Reported it without amendment;
The bill was then read the second time; and,
Ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. Frazier, from the committee on Corporations, reported
a bill incorporating the Westminster Gas Light company ;
Which was read the first time.
Also, reported, without amendment, a bill to incorporate
the Somerset and Worcester Railroad company ;
Which was read the second time; and,
Ordered to be engrossed for a third reading; and,
On motion of Mr. McMaster,
