1866.] OF THE SENATE. 19 Which was read and referred to the committee on the Judiciary. The chair announced the following Message delivered by the clerk of the House of Delegates, on Friday: A bill incorporating Eureka Lodge of Washington county, Which was read the first time, and referred to the com- mittee on Corporations. A bill amending the charter of the Western Maryland Rail Road company; Which was read the first time and referred to the committee on Internal Improvements. A bill incorporating the Liberty Turnpike company, of Carroll county; Which was read the first time and referred to the com- mittee on Internal Improvements. A bill to incorporate the Pocahontas Manufacturing company; Which was read the first time and referred to the committee on Corporations. On motion of Mr. Earle. Leave was granted, the committee on Finance, to report a bill to compensate Hon. E. F. Chambers. The bill authorizing the Governor., Comptroller, and Treasurer, to sell the Bank Stock standing to the credit of the Free Schools of this State, and invest the proceeds; Was read the second time, ordered to be printed, and made the order of the day for to-morrow, at 1 o'clock. The Senate adjourned. |
