increase the amount of the capital stock thereof;

A bill to pay John Heimelhaver a sum of money for ser-
vices rendered in renewing and enlarging the wall of the
furnace of the Record office; Frederick Sasscer, Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Prince George's county, Oliver Wood,
George E. Gambrill, R. Vinton Clayton, Augustus Gassa-
way and Peter W. Grain, for professional services;
Which was read. the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.
A hill to authorize the Clerk of the Superior Court of
Baltimore city to pay to Thomas A. Kennard a sum. of
money due him as Clerk in said office;
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
A bill to amend the Act to incorporate the Western Avenue
Company, passed January session, one thousand eight hun-
dred and sixty, Chapter one hundred and twelve;
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-

A bill to incorporate the Bolivar Union Cornet Band of
Frederick county;
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
A bill to incorporate the Boat and Transportation Com-
pany of Allegany county;
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.
The President laid before the Senate a petition from citi-
zens of Howard county against the Sunday Law:
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.
