and Potomac River Tide-Water Canal Company;
Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered the following bills:
A bill amendatory of an Act entitled, "An Act to estab-
lish and endow an agricultural college in Maryland," passed
at January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-sis, chapter
ninety-seven, and of a supplemental Act passed at January
session, eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, Chapter two hun-
dred and sixty-five;
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Education.
A bill to amend an Act entitled, "An Act to incorporate
a company for the purpose of cutting and making a canal
between the river Delaware and the Chesapeake Bay," passed
at November session, seventeen hundred and seventy-nine,
Chapter sixteen, and also to amend a supplement thereto,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-five,
Chapter three hundred and seventy-nine;
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Internal Improvements;
A bill to amend an Act entitled, "An Act to make certain
improvements in the vicinity of the 'State Live Stock Scales,'
in Baltimore county," passed -at January session, eighteen
hundred and sixty-four, Chapter twenty-three, by enlarging
the powers and duties of the commissioners therein named;
Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Philpot, Stephenson and Turner.
A bill to amend the third section of Article thirty-three of
the Code of Public General Laws relating to Indigent Blind;
Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.
A bill to repeal sections one hundred and ninety-four, one
hundred and ninety-six, one hundred and ninety-seven, of
Article four of the Code of Public Local Laws, and to re-enact
the same with amendment-;;
Which was read, the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings,
A bill to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to increase the issue of water stock, to assess and col-
lect water rates and water tax, to supply water on the line
