18 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 15,
press forwarders in the State of Maryland, to sell unclaimed
packages and articles.
On motion of Mr. Whitney,
Leave was granted the committee on Finance, to report a
bill in aid of the " Union Orphan Asylum."
On motion of Mr. Whitney,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations, to report
a bill to incorporate the Patent Prepared Food company.
On motion of Mr. Ohr,
Leave was granted the committee on Internal Improve-
ments, to report a bill to authorize the Mayor and Council-
men of the city of Cumberland to issue bonds to build a
bridge across the Potomac.
On motion of Mr. Ohr,
Leave was granted Messrs. Ohr, Turner and McMaster, to
report a bill for the promotion of temperance and good morals.
Mr. Ohr, from the committee on Internal Improvements,
reported a bill in favor of the Wicomico and Pocomoke Rail
Road company.
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Ohr, from the committee on Internal Improvements,
to which was referred the bill to incorporate the Allegany
Vine Growing company, reported it without amendment;
The bill was then read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
Mr. McMaster, from the select committee, reported a bill
entitled, An Act to incorporate the Worcester and Somer-
set Rail Road company;
Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Corporations.
Mr. Ohr, from the select committee, reported favorably
upon the hill for the relief of Whitney, Medairy and Cush-
ing, of Baltimore;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Ohr, from the select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act for the promotion of temperance and
good morals.
Mr. Earle presented the petition of the Commissioners of
Queen Anne's county;
