3S,
is at school. She has improved very much since under my
care in every respect. She is right industrious; also, obedi-
ent and truthful. If she continues as she has begun, she will
make a good and useful woman. I like her very much. No
one could wish a better girl. She is very fond of us all.

Margaret is still with us—her health is good—attends
Church regularly—improves in her health and is apt in her
employments. Her industry, application and obedience are
all that we could wish. I believe that she will make a use-
ful woman with proper training. She seems better satisfied
than when she first came. She has a desire to get to Balti-
more to live. My impression is that it would be better for
her in the country, as she is here more out of the way of
temptation. She has a great respect for you and will be ad-
vised by you. We like her very much, and are willing to
keep her as long as she wishes to stay. B. F. M.
BALTIMORE Co.
Julia has not attended school since she came here, but
will commence on January 1st: She attends church occa-
sionally. Her moral disposition and habits are good—her
aptness at learning anything is as good as can be expected
at her age. She has improved in her household duties, and
so far we are well .pleased with her. She is industrious,
obedient, and generally truthful, showing that the training
she had while in your excellent institution has not been lost
upon her, and, judging from the short time that has past
since with us, we think she will make an intelligent and use-
since with us, we
ful woman.

Theresa and Johanna are still with us, and in good health.
They attend day school and church regularly. .Their dispo-
sition and habits aie good—aptness to learn about an aver-
age. They improve gradually as they grow older, and are
learning to perform the duties required of them, and which
will be useful to them in after life. Their character for in-
dustry, application, obdience and truthfulness is favorable,
and I see no reason why they may not be good and useful
women. In short, I consider them very good girls, and they
give much' satisfaction to my family.
