LETTERS IN RELATION TO GIRLS. HARFORD Co. Mary is with us—her health is good. She is religious, honest, industrious, and can do everything a good farmer's daughter can do. She has a fine taste for drawing, and has profited well from her opportunities of education. We treat her as one of our own children. When her time is up, I will get her a good place with some of my friends in Baltimore to learn a trade. She deserves the best treatment. B.C. HOWARD Co. I am directed by ray mother to report her entire satisfac- tion with the conduct and deportment Of Matilda. She is zealous in performing her household duties, and has a con- scientious and keen moral sense of right and wrong, which I have never seen surpassed even in those who have been nur- tured and instructed in the most careful manner. She is fond of reading—particularly her Bible, and continues to be a con- sistent member and communicant of the Episcopal Church. We trust her in every way, and have perfect confidence in her honesty and veracity. She has an affectionate disposi- tion, and seems much attached to our family, particularly to my mother. J. S. T. TALBOT Co. Susan attends day school regularly, and Church sometimes. She attended Sabbath school until it closed. Her disposition is as good as any child of her age, and better than a good many.
