33 YORK Co., Pa., Dec. 16, 1865. G. L. enjoys most excellent health. He has attended Sab- bath School regularly all summer, and also Church. His morals and disposition are very good, but a little slothful in habits. I find his aptness for learning either in books or business is very dull, but notwithstanding he certainly does improve. He is very obedient, honest and truthful, but lacks perseverance. I have him to study one hour every night in spelling and writing. He seems very anxious to learn, yet he does not learn fast. G. is very attentive to business, and when I leave anything in his charge, I believe he tries and does everything to give the best satisfaction. Altogether, I believe we will be able to make of him a man, useful to him- self and to the community. J. B. K. |
