Mr. Eaton submitted the following amendment:
Section 15, line 3: Strike out the word "ten," and insert
"thirty;"
Which was read and adopted.
Mr. Eaton submitted the following amendment:
Section 16, line 3: Strike out the words "twenty-four
hours," and insert "ten days;"
Which was read and rejected.
Mr. Vickers submitted the following amendments:
Section 16, line 4: After the word "logs," insert the words
"boards or other lumber;"
Section 16, line 4: After the word "other," add the word
"convenient;"
Which were read and adopted.
Mr. Pat in submitted the following amendment:
Section 17, line 3; Strike out the word "treble;"
Which was read and adopted.
Mr. Vickers submitted the following amendment:
Section 7, line 17: After word "non-resident," insert "he
may be proceeded against by warrant from a Justice of the
Peace, and by presentment, or indictment in the Circuit
court of Cecil or Harford counties, and if convicted, be fined
or imprisoned in the discretion of the court;"
Which was read and adopted.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:
A bill to encourage and facilitate immigration to the State
of Maryland;
Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Tome, Earle and Jenkins.
A bill to repeal sections 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80,
81, 82, 83, 8-1 and 87 of Article one of the Code of Public
Local Laws of volume two, entitled "Allegany County," and
re-enact the same with amendment;
Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Corporations.
A bill to regulate the working of Public Roads in the
State of Maryland;,
