160 John Kennedy, a witness produced on behalf of claimant being duly sworn, answers and says, to Barron Creek inter- rogatories, To the first interrogatory: . A. Forty-eight years, been a voter twenty-seven years, resided in 1865 in Barren Creek. 2d. A. Did apply, took the oath; two witnesses, Benjamin P. Gravener and G Howard, were summoned against him; Benj. Gravener said he did not know anything I had said or done only I had never voted like he did; Mr. Howard said he never knew anything I had ever done or said to disqualify me. 3d. A. Did not vote because I wasn't registered, would have voted full Democratic ticket, including Mr. Franklin. 4th. Waived. Cross-examination: To the first interrogatory : A. I didn't l;now anything about that. 2d: A. No, sir, I did not. 3d: A. No, sir. 4th: A. No, I don't think I ever did. 5th. A. I didn't know anything about, nor said anything about it.
